Me too... last night I was lying awake thinking about the difference between balut and the chicken I'd had at dinner. I think it might be time to go back to vegetarianism. It's just so darn hard to lose weight as a veg.

Especially the Balut. It makes me wonder about the person who eats it, just like Veal. Someone who would knowingly eat something that was raised or "prepared" in a way that causes unnecessary pain.... I just can't understand that sort of thing.

Surprisingly true, unless you go vegan and also cut out sweets completely - it is especially hard when you are cooking for one and maintaining portion control - you can't just saute a chicken breast and some broccoli and call it dinner. I love Indian food and cheese too much to go vegan.
