Eeew !! Unfortunately I did "click" on that link and I think of all of "delicacies" on offer, the larvae cheese that can breed in your intestine is the one I would most likely politely refuse, if offered. Geez, what is wrong with people? If you have to fight an army of enraged ants, it can't be good can it??? I have to add Skittles as a terrifying food actually. Instead of "tasting the rainbow", I ended up having the Heimlich Manouevre performed on me when one lodged in my throat.

I choked on a Smartie at Cockfosters underground station once. The echo of me gasping for breath sounded like a herb of zombies approaching.

It must be the shape. I got caught out too when a minstrel went down the wrong way. Luckily it slipped down but I did run around my office desk screaming with eyes bulging for about 14 seconds first. Hubby says I choke every week on something though so I shouldn't be name calling any foods at all.

There's a show in the UK where they have to eat Kangaroo testicles. They have to pop them out of the furry ball sack first, too.

aaaand balut wins! I'm never eating ever again. EVER.

I have eaten balut. Luz loves them. A store near here carries them but she will not buy them because she wants them "fresh". It didn't taste bad but it was most definatly gross to look at.

me too... this sounds a bit rude but I like to suck them til the shell gets soft and then all the yummy chocolate in the middle is already melted and gooey. Heaven.

One thing I noticed when I lived in Hong Kong was that most Chinese people I met thought blue cheese was the most disgusting thing ever. They had the same reaction that most westerners would have for chicken feet or snake soup.
