I am using tripadvisor.com to help me search for bargain flights to go visit my sweetie for his interview in three weeks...the cheapest flights thus far are found if i use a website called 'ati' or 'air tickets international' for booking....has anyone used this website for booking before? its about $100+ cheaper than other sites like travelocity or expedia, so im just curious to make sure its legit...thanks in advance!

I would try the malev website directly or else I have used cheapoair.

If you are flying to Tirana I would call an albanian owned travel agency, they usually have pretty good deals esp since it is off season right now.

I believe tickets should only be no more than 1000-1200 esp with short notice.

Let me know if you need the number to a travel agency. Those websites can be really expensive. Is your fiance from Tirana? I hope so I heard it is cold and lots of snow in Southern Albania right now.........At least that is what my family says.......

I fly internationally all the time.

Made 11 trips to Brazil last year and 2 already this year with a third booked for mid march.

I go straight to the airline websight, I have doulble checked most of the so called

discount websights and yet to have one beat the airlines themselves.

Latest ticket is for $750 round trip from Louisville to Rio, closest discount websight was $1800.

my husband uses sidestep.com whenever we travel... that site will lead you to the cheapest fare or a list of websites where you could see their price range and compare all the online ticketing... works really great

Thanks for all the responses guys!

I ended up using ultimatefares.com and got my ticket for $963.90.

There were some for around $850.00, but my trip would have been shorter, which I didn't want.

And regarding the comment about going directly to the airline website, it is not always true that the fare will be cheaper through them. In fact, I usually find the opposite to be true. There are some exceptions, but I know that with Delta's website and some others, the fare ALWAYS seems to be much more than on the discounted fare websites. Alitalia's website is one that usually offers pretty descent fares directly from the airline, but it does vary.

Yes, I'm going to Tirana...my fiance lives there, but while I am there, we will be staying in Durres at his uncle's vacation home... I can't wait to finally go there!! All this time I have been visiting him in Italy (he was living there), finally I will get to see Albania!
