Well I'm back to losing my mind my interview is next month and my new RCMP record check is still not back i emailed them and was told that it was completed Feb 12th and mailed to me well it gets worse. When i sent it back to them you have to include a money order and a self address stamp envelope or they wont process it so i did all that. So when i got my email in response to this second RCMP check cause they screwed up the first one I noticed that they are sending it to my 911 (emergency/fire/police) address not my mailing address they didnt even mark the city just the township i'm in so i may never get this check back.

Anyways i do have my name check and last RCMP check (the one were they spelt my name wrong and the purpose of the check) they both have that i have no record no charges and all the good stuff i want it to say. But heres my problem I really dont remember what happened in court when i was charged for shop lifting ( i walked out of zellers with picture frames a crying almost 2yr old and nine months pregnant so i forgot they were in my cart). I went to court just weeks after my son was born and have almost no memory of what happend i know i got no fine, i didnt really understand what was said other then my ex's brother said i got very lucky (hes dead so i cant ask him what happened). So anyways i dont know 100% if i was given an absalute discharge or what all i know is i cant find anything. To make matters worse i called the court house and they told me they cant help my without a date on my back ground check there is nothing they can do. So i'm freaking out cause i dont know if i would need a court letter saying i have no record at some point in this process like at Montreal or for the AOS point or at any point. (she did check for me while i was on the phone but said she cant help me more then that) I dont even know what i should be writting in the ds230 part2 question 31. She seems to think charges where dropped but i cant be sure. if anyone has any ideas please help.

sorry about the typo's i cant spell on a good day never mind when i'm freaking out. :crying:

Danielle

I'm not sure about the legal aspect of your police certificate/court documents - but just wanted to say I absolutely understand how this can happen.

I was in Spokane at the mall once and the - open to the mall - part of the store on the second floor actually has like 4 pillars and kind of wraps around a small kind of circular area where the escalator is. I had something in my hand and I walked out there - I didn't even know I had actually left the store, didn't register at all until I was out in the mall area.

Nothing happened as no one saw it and I ran back in to the store and left whatever it was - but sheesh!

Oh and did you email the RCMP back to let them know they sent your latest check to the wrong address? Maybe they will send another copy under those circumstances.

HI DANIELLE,

My take on this would be go to the same court house where you were charged and you appeared (TRY to recall)and tell them the month and year when it happened ,with your name and year they might be able to help you and provide you with some documentation/or Try calling them before you decide to go .If of no help call local police station and they might have details in their system.

REST PRAY TO GOD.

Good luck!!!
