How to Shake Your NOA2 Loose from the CSC

Well I called CSC this morning using your guidelines [...] she was friendly and helpful....

Except for the inevitable wait, D., this is positive. Imagine someone connected with CSC being friendly & helpful!

Contrary to popular opinion, immigration officers and adjudicators are not two-headed beasts [...]these 'driveling idiots' are the ones who approve your petitions. How many of you would crack under the pressure of their jobs?

The reference was meant to refer to the front-line screeners.

The reference was still derogatory, IMO.

Though it was derogatory, it was still warranted. In one's daily job excuses are worthless, you either complete your job in an appropriate manner or you don't.

Define appropriate.

Suitable to one's position requirements

My point is, why can't comments regarding CSC staff be derogatory, why SHOULDN'T they be? I also think it is rather pointless to make excuses for CSC employees. You either do your job correctly or you don't regardless of the workload.

Just because someone isn't doing their job as FAST as you would like it to be, doesn't mean they aren't doing their job correctly and proficiently.

You are absolutely right - the workload makes no difference.

My comments have nothing to do with speed. I refer to accuracy and handling their job professionally.

I don't understand how you can *know* they are being either incompetent or efficient. So many factors go into the process, and the case workers are just one part of it.

I've seen enough on these boards to know as well as experiencing it personally. I see this process alot like war. My petition is like a battleplan and USCIS is the enemy. We all know the battle plan never survives contact with the enemy. Anything that can go wrong will.

The problem with analogies like this is that they break down in so many different areas that any superficial resemblance is just that. It's really best to think of it as it is. It's not you versus them.

What we do know (and what USCIS has acknowledged) is that it's a broken system. We've also seen that there is a management problem from the top down. You only need to be in on the Ombudsman calls to see that. As for the guy/lady in the trenches? There's zero evidence one way or the other. We hear stories of unhelpful phone operators, but also stories of very helpful operators. Hell, the operator that told me I was approved *cried.* Sounds to me like they're just normal people doing a job.

If you come over to my place I have a stack of evidence showing mistakes by the people in the trenches. Its very EASY to see incompetence when its sitting on your kitchen table.

I tried TB's "trick" today..the lady said that my case is with an officer and is being reviewed..ive heard that already and it has been there since jan.30th. when i said "I'm aware that several files received after mine have already been approved, and the USCIS website clearly says 'we process applications in the order we receive them.' Will you please send an e-mail to the floor...?" she took a long pause, then she informed me that she will send an email to the officer asking what was the status on my case. she told me that i should call back in 2 weeks, but she didnt say i should call back IF I DONT HEAR ANYTHING FROM THEM...

i dont know, hopefully i get my NOA2 soon...

...on a brighter side, at least an email will be sent..

after speaking with the lady, i thanked her SOOOOO Much and wished her GOD BLESS =p

I hate to tell you this - but it's not that PERSONAL to them. You're a stack of papers. Get your papers right, meet about three criteria, and you'll get your NOA2.
