Hi I am new to this forum and site, but anyways lets start with the my story and need your help / guidance to file my GC applications as Attorneys are charging way too much on consultation.

Got married in March 2007 to a US citizen (College student in florida currently and lived her whole life there) and i live in Connecticut zipcode 06824 due to my work and on H1B visa (still have 4 more years)

As its more then a year of my marriage and haven't file the GC yet, have couple of Questions and your help would be highly appreciated.

1. What's the procedure and what and which type of forms do I need to file.

2. Do i will get conditional GC, yes or no and why ?

3. Which location should i file my GC as she currently lives in Florida (zip code33405) due to college still one more to pass the college and i live in Connecticut ( zip code 06824)due to my work. Can anyone helpto find me exact location.

4. Which location would be quickest as per the filing application ?

5. due to Seperate living will there be a problem in Interview or in application ?

6. Where do i have to file my application ?

7. Do i have to provide bonafide certificate, if yes then what kind of proof do i need b/c we live far apart from each other ?

8. Do my wife (sponsor) have to file any forms for herself ?

Would really appreciate your help!

thanx,

N

Reading the flowcharts here as well as searching on some key words will give you almost everything you need to have answered:

1) I-130, I-485, I-765

2) Conditional greencard if marriage is less than two years old when approved.

3) It is YOUR application not hers... All applications go to Chicago based on your situation regardless of locale

4) There is only one location

5) Possibly will incur some questions...

6) Previously asked and answered

7) bonafide certificate of what?

8) Have you read the instructions? I-864 for starters...
