hi Jen,

I had my td vaccination in our local hospital here, covered by my husband's medical insurance so we didn't pay any. I just sent the vaccination record from st lukes with my td record to Dr. Arnold and had it transcribed to I-693A.

You can get the TD vaccination anywhere you want (it doesn't have to be a civil surgeon that gives the vaccination). Most public health departments will offer it or you can have your family doctor give it. You will need to have an I-693a completed by a civil surgeon for the AOS. Supply the civil surgeon with a copy of your vaccination worksheet from SLEC and a copy of additional vaccinations you have received after arrival to complete the I-693a.

According to USCIS, you need to get the TD vaccine here. However, we sent my wife's AOS in with just the DS-3025, which clearly showed that she did not have the TD vaccine, and she was approved without interview.

We had heard about this from some friends who had done it and were approved without the TD vaccine. My guess is that USCIS is just to busy these days to worry about the TD vaccine.

If you try this you might get an RFE, but that would only cause a small delay while you go get the vaccine, and there's no penalty for trying!

Claudeth needed the tetanus so we went to a civil surgeon and he gave her the shot and did the supplemental and it cost us $70.
