Need Phil Attorney for BC corrections

Hello All,

Based on info I have found on NSO website:

There seems to be two ways to correct errors in Phil birth certificates (BC). The RA 9048 conditions state that you are not allowed to use that process to change your age. My fiancée’s BC is one month incorrect on her BC. it is listed at February when it should be January. Since that change technically changes her age by one month, I am thinking she will need to use the court process outlined in the first link.

Here is our problem, she lives and works as a helper in Hong Kong and I am in US. I have been unable to locate any contact info for an attorney in the Bicol Region which is where she was born (Oas Albay - specifically).

Do any of you know of an honest Phil attorney she could use? She is planning to go back to Phil for brief visit at the end of March.....if we could make contact and arrangements before it would be VERY helpful.

What about your fiancee's family? Are they still in Bicol? Your fiancee need not be present during the hearing of the case for correction of entry, provided she signs a special power of attorney to authorize ( preferrable a family member) the filing of the petition in court. If she still has a family there, maybe they can find a lawyer for her.

Thanks for your reply....I should have clarified....no her family does not live in the region any longer. I think the closest is in Manilla
