Thought it'd be interesting to find out how many, if any other people out there have placed EU or other country custom plate on their cars?

Luckily here in Florida we don't have to display a plate on the front! My wife for example has the batman symbol plate and I have (as attached) I an EU - Ireland plate which I got online and attached it to "Wilbert" my car! I've seen one other EU plate in Orlando I believe but not many I can remember outside of there.

Do you have a custom/EU or other plate on your car and do people stare at it strangely or ask about it? :hehe:

We also live in Orlando and as you know, Florida has a million license plates. I have one that I paid a bit extra for - and all the proceeds go to breast cancer research. My plate number is only 5 digits because it says "support breast cancer" on it.

Hey Aidan! If I ever see that car in town, now, I'll know it's you! And if you ever hear someone honking at you and waving, you'll know it's me!

I'd like to find a plate with the maple leaf on it for the front of my car. A lot of people in my neighbourhood have the Country Club plates on the front of their cars, which I think is kinda nice too.

 Yep it'd be hard to miss that car with that plate in this part of the world now! I'll have to remember to wave, most beeps from drivers here appear to be the impatient beeps like.. lets go.. the light turned green 1 second ago :hehe: ! I just searched online and ended up at eBay when I bought the plate. As we're in Florida we don't have to display anything on the front I thought I'd get a plate from back home. I'm sure you can get a Canadian one and get it to say what you want and stick it on the front. Luckily for you the Canadian plates looks like they are about the same size and shape as the US plates.

I currently don't have one on my car although I would love to get one. I did see a lady outside the DMV office the other day and on hers she had a standard Belgian license plate on the front.

I know some states, Florida for us at least.. only require you to display an official plate on the rear and the front can have anything you want! Which is why I've an EU plate on the front with the Florida plate as required on the rear! Do a search online there are tons of places that have plates for sale, most will allow you to customize it!

My friends got a license plate for my husband that says BOSANAC (Bosnian). We still need to figure out how to put it on the car as plates here are much smaller.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought a standard US mounting kit then cut it to the same size as the EU plate. I already had a mounting kit for the EU plate which I attached to the US mounting kit. I then took the US mounting kit with the EU mount attached on top and attached the US kit as normal to the front of the car. As the EU mount as on the US mount all that was left to do was slide the plate into place and that was that!

Do a search online there are tons of places that have plates and mounting kits for sale. I didn't mind chopping up the US kit and making it all fit.

Check google for custom license plates, check eBay (which is what I did) there are plates from all over the world out there! I've found tons of plates what are US sized and shaped but made to look like an EU plate. I've seen others the same US style with just an image on them or even just a flag.
