poker forum called pocketfives (dedicted to online poker basically). we both posted in the Off Topic portion (rly mostly me since i have way too many posts there) anyways, i got an xbox and was adding friends, so i searched that site for people who put there gammer tags, and i added him. he posted if someone from that site made a fake "wowswift" account and i sent him a message saying it was the real me. well i got Gears of War finally and we played all the time and I guess I was hooked to the way he said "out" and bugged him on there, via PMs on P5s, and obv ended up on messengers and then ended up married

I was just looking to learn a little more about another part of the world (honestly, I wanted to hear about life way up north, by the Arctic Circle ... instead, I got a guy from Vancouver :))

He later told me that he was just interested in getting to know people from other countries so he would have a couch to sleep on when he traveled. He actually didn't want to write to an American, since traveling to America was not on his top list of hot destinations.

Us too! Back in May 2005. He was recovering from back surgery in OK, surfing his friend's computer to find something to take his mind off the pain. I was in Europe, housebound after 3 lung infections, surfing my own computer to find something to take my mind off the pain... Neither of us feeling our best to say the least, but didn't stop us!
