Interesting article....were it true.

Unfortunately, it's not.

http://www.snopes.com/medical/myths/8glasses.asp

and

http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp

So drink your Coke, folks!

I was going to say the same :P

I saw on the show on discovery channel "Mythbusters", were they try certain myths or supposed facts to see if it's real...they put steak in coke for days and it never dissolved! They also tested out other things I believe also the nail, also wasn't true.

Also, the acid in our stomachs to digest food is much more powerful than acid in Coke, and also the whole "coke can clean a battery on your car thing", doesn't really mean a lot beacuse a lot of things could clean your car's battery.

But, it is still of course healthier to drink water than coke!

I just watched a Mythbusters episode the other night on this same thing. The Coke will not dissolve a T-Bone, however, it WILL tenderize the hell out of it. Also, it WILL clean the grease from the bumper of your car, but it won't clean blood off the road. It'll also restore the shine to your old pennies. Yay coke!!!

oops, didn't see your post! But hey now I am your witness that it was real!

what else will clean your battery?

seltzer/sparkling water, which is just bubbly water without the stickiness from sugar and other ingredients of coke. Also baking soda and water.

what about fish sticks? I happen to have some of those handy

:blink::blink::blink:

I admit I LOVE soda but I've changed to only diet soda so I don't feel quite as guilty (I know it still isn't good for you but it's less sugar!). I love water too and definitely drink it!

Diet Cherry Coke is the BEST!

I REALLY love that new Coke Blak!!!!!!!!!! Its more expensive, and in a smaller bottle, and its glass not plastic, but hey it taste GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD :)

And i dont drink alot of coke. The only time i did, is when i was in Romania and my fiance didnt like me drinking it, so i craved it more. Now that i have easy access to it, i dont even look at it :)

Easy for me, water is my favorite drink of all. I don´t need that fact sheet to know that water is healthier. :P

Also, if I am thirsty, Coke doesn´t help, it MUST be water.

I'll take water anytime.......

My daughter did an experiment at school with Cola and a tooth - it dissovled the tooth in 24 hours..

I will substitute beer for the coke then :D

I always say: if only beer had 0 calories and had no alcohol i'd drink it 24/7

Interesting article....were it true.

So drink your Coke, folks!

whew :dancing:

I like diet coke, what we call here in Brazil coca-cola light. That's the only one i drink, the rest i don't like. But i try to drink it only on weekends, not every weekend and when i'm on vacations or travelling i drink more, but on my normal days i'm more of a water, tea or milk drinker.

I drink a lot of water daily, i refill my water bottle all the time. So comparing i drink like 60 times more water than coke i think :P.
