My wife and I communicate primarily through chats and emails. Our calls were made through a long distance number, but are limited due to the cost. Emails replaced letters for the most part in our relationship.

Can emails and chats be used as pieces of bonifide evidence due to the lack of direct calls or letters? Please advise......thanks

Yes, they can be used, and most of us include samples from each month email, and sample chats from each month.

Be prepared to show other things too though.

You can get some international calling plans very cheap (I think verizon has one) and online there are many other providers.

You can buy calling cards, be sure to select one who will let you print out your call history.

There are many inexpensive options to communicate with you wife.

We never used telephone o communicate, always Skype, Yahoo IM, and emails, we provided logs from Skype, and Yahoo, and some random samples of emails.

email and chat is the best way, i have over 500 pages of chat log

and tons of email, i just pick out the some of them and include which is ok too

Not for the embassy. They will accept in English or in the language native to the location of the embassy.

I have been using it to talk to my wife for the last year and a half. It is 2.2 cents a minute in Lima, 4 cents a minute in provinces and 25 cents a minute to cell phones.
