Hi everyone, goofy.gif

Im Carmen and a Kiwi rookie to this site. This is my first post ,although Ive been busy soaking up bits n pieces from all over the place.

So thank ful to find a speciifc forum related to New Zealanders experiences!

I am married to an American, hes lived in NZ, I have lived in the states ,and after a couple of attempts to readjust my status while in the states and it being rejected, the short version of our journey is that I flew back to NZ 2011, to see family (my sons live in the ChCh-the newly named Quake City).HUbby had just landed a job in Ohio ,so our plans were he save and follow me 6mths to 12 mths later. After a while I found it hard to settle back into NZ life and the cost of living depressing. As much as my 'mummy heart' felt torn, I decided I want to return to the U.S.

So after us dithering around a bit , hubby is petitioning for me to become a US resident...I have filled out a G325 A form ,and sent over documents etc. This is something we both should have done before we left NZ the first time ,2009....but bottom line is we didnt....

I guess my concerns now are the overall cost! and if I can even afford the whole process, cray5ol.gif any medical issues that I may get disapproved for etc...ha thats presuming hubbys petition is even approved. Cant think why not though. We /He has supporting documents of our long term relationship.

Also it just hit me today, does USCIS have an age barrier? ,as I know most Imiigratation Depts do.

Sorry if my post makes me sound a little neurotic, its all rather daunting at the moment.
