Thanks Guys

I'm ridiculously excited. I thought that's how it might be so I'll go ahead and tell them to start the k1 process.

As you say, we've already been through it so it will be a lot easier, less stressful anyway :)

Excited?!? I should think so. I think it's wonderful news! You know, if we can help we will. (F)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thanks

It almost feels too good to be true. It's very strange how things work out. Just last Sunday when we took her to the airport I was inconsolable because I didn't know when I'd see her again. If the little minx had told me then what was going on maybe I wouldn't have needed so many tissues.

You mean she didn't tell you before she left?! Oh boy...lol... that is like when they are little, and sometimes you would want to hug them on the one hand, and spank em on the other.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Well think of it this way. If you ever have a really huge secret you are desperate to tell someone. Tell her..she can keep one

I can't blame you for smiling...who would have ever thought things would turn out the way they have!

I've had mail. Not an RFE, but I have to go all the way back to TN for more fingerprints. They say the ones they took last week cannot be processed. :/

Why on earth do you have to go to TN?

Because they don't do them in AR. Idiots. It's nearly 6 hours up and back just driving, it took us longer last week on account of the miserable weather.

I am so sorry about that!!That truly truly SUCKS!! You think they would have made sure they were successful when you were there.. Better to spend an extra 30 minutes or so there and get it all done right the first time.. And its not like it is just around the corner either.. Six hours is just such a LONG time to travel!! Will they reimburse you for all the petrol you have to use and inconvenience? (of course not)... When you go again, you will have to keep telling the person that you want to KNOW that the fingerprints are successful this time....

For sure. I mean really though, in one way I shouldn't be surprised. We have had such issues all the way along really. Remember or AP saga?

This time I am telling her, either I see the green accept or we do it again. I don't care how many people are waiting in the queue either. That's her problem.

Research here says that if you get two rejections, you need police clearances from every place you have lived the last five years. This is in spite of the obvious fact that I have already cleared these stupid hurdles, more than once, or I wouldn't be here in possession of a GC now would I?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hi Jamie,

Haven't got that far myself but I have only heard good things about interviewing for K1 in Auckland. Seems to be a pretty simple process and if you follow the K1 Guide your Kiwi Jamie will be more than prepared for their requirements. Best of luck to you both. (F)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Just thought I would pop on and say hi on the Kiwi thread! My name's Mixx and my US citizen fiance and I are currently working on the k1 visa. Sadly we are doing so while apart, we have spent far too much time apart, but I know it's going to be worth it and now that we are finally making progress the excitement is finally starting to outweigh the stress! Anyone else from Hawkes Bay going through the same process by chance? Just out of interest. Or if those sort of questions are too personal my apologies! Jamie, I will also being going through the 'process in Auckland' but haven't as of yet so not much advice either sorry!

~Francois de la Rouchefoucauld

(Quote from a card Adam sent me that spoke to us both - and oh so true.)
