Hello Scarolette :)

I did go over and read your thread, and I think the best advice is some of what you got there. A good Immigration lawyer is probably where you need to go. You may need a waiver, but one thing you do need is some sound advice. If you have contacts in the Embassy there I'd use them. There was another chap from AKL who had to get a waiver, and that was successful in the end. It was earlier in this thread I remember.

There is a waiver forum on VJ that may help in a general sort of way :

Wishing you all the best

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hello all!

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile but we have had some problems. And right now we have a big problem. See, everything was going great. We got married over a year ago and things seemed to be great. But then things seemed to take a downfall and my mother passed away in march. If that's not bad enough, she was my husband's co-sponsor. We just now got finished taking care of business , moving out of the house and stuff that I've even thought of what to do about the whole sponsor thing. Some of my uncles have offered to sponsor him so finding one shouldn't be a problem. I just don't know where to start. And I've been in such a haze of depression I really didn't realize it'd been 3 months already. Do I call and report it or just mail in the new one and then report it? We adjust the permanent resident status in feb i believe. I don't even know what form to do or any of that. Should I call the misinformation line?

Thanks

Yeah!! It's like winning the world cup just to tie with Italy!:thumbs::dance::dance:

When a government employee is making six figures + benefits for a job and a private sector employee is making $70,000 for the exact same job, then yes that is overpaid. Government jobs should match the private sector equivalent.

Who said you can't go to the doctor in an emergency? No one said that...

Too bad they didn't go through... But at least we can say: All Whites UNDEFEATED at World Cup 2010!

All Whites did great. Would have been awesome to see them moving on to the next round but they really exceeded my expectations!

In other news, just sent in my package for removing conditions. Not sure that I sent in enough evidence. My husband had the house before I moved here so not on the title and we don't have joint bank accounts. I did have tax info, medical and car insurance in both our names so... we'll see how it all goes!

So my visa expired today and I still haven't sent in the AOS package, because for some reason the civil surgeon won't certify my I-693 form without a full immigration medical, which I do not NEED. Is it supposed to be this hard to get something signed? Anyway, my social security is still in my maiden name because it took 10 weeks to get so I haven't been back there yet, but I've used my married name on all the forms. Are they going to chuck a wobbly if I don't send in the medical form or am I worrying for nothing?

Congrats on getting married :star:

I didn't get a doctor here to certify the form. I just sent in the copy of the vaccination form that the doctor that did the medical in NZ gave me. It went through ok so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Probably more important to get your paperwork filed and then reply to any RFE you may get. At least that way it'll be in the system and underway

Cdneh..... you're too kind......

Kelzm we recently sent in our removal of conditions packet too. We sent it to VT. We sent in a few bank statements, insurance and life insurance policies with both our names and the deed to our house. I think Nic threw in a few other things but it did feel like a much smaller packet than the first time around. Nic wanted to send in my ultra sound ( I am 5 months pregnant) just to be cheeky but held off the urge.

The next big concern is that they schedule our interview around my due date. Crossing our fingers on that one!
