Does anyone know how long, after sending consent for the police cert, it takes for the certificate to come through? Is the consent part of p3? I see that your p4's seem to come through quite quickly so I wonder if the process is quicker if the embassy requests the certificate because it took 6 weeks for the one I requested to arrive!

Thanks,

Emma

Not sure on that one. I understood that if you are going through Auckland, so in the country, they would not accept a Police Cert you got on your own. Where you are not IN the country that may make a difference. It wasn't very long after I sent the consent form back to AKL that I was interviewed and it seemed to be about 10 days or so. They may get priority as they are a consulate :)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

That would be brilliant. Mine seems to be lost in the post due to getting stuck somewhere because of the ash, lol!

Kelvan... meat pies! So jealous! I have a small list of food that I want when I make a trip back home: Steak and Cheese pie, good fish and chips, a real kiwi roast and a milky bar! Mmm.

We have shifted house :)

The absolute most annoying and plagued by disaster move in the history of moving..but it's at least over.

Isn't that the way when shifting house? Nothing seems to run smoothly on the day. It's good that it is finally over and you can now settle down into your new place.:star: Did you move to a different town/city or stay in the same area?

It's been pretty quiet in here lately....:o

Hey guys, a quick update: I'm now a married woman yay! Just came back from our honeymoon on the Oregon coast, now to start the AOS process! I'm probably going to have a lot of questions about this since most of you have already been through it.

Hope things are going smoothly for everyone :)

Ok, first few questions: what would my current USCIS status be and do I have an alien registration number?

It's been 8 weeks since I applied for a social security number, but since DHS entered my birthday in wrong that had to be corrected before I can get a social issued to me.. which is still pending. Can I apply for AOS and the EAD card without a social? Because it's probably going to take another 4 weeks or so and then longer to change my name.

Thanks guys!

Changed states. Now we are in Searcy Arkansas. You hooo...kim&chris :P

In the same town and have no idea how to reach Kim. When they changed the website over, they wiped my message history, and that is where I had her email.

And she was right. Hot place ;)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
