I'm stunned. Look what Rob found in the mail box today.

And for what it's worth, no change to my status on uscis, no email alert and no mobile alert.

Now just the citizenship hurdle to go!!

Not a peep. Seems ROC is going to go the way the rest of the process has gone. Last one approved (we hope)

To add: I am falling heavily on the side on not applying for citizenship. Rather not be last there as well.

I must admit the thought of paying another $680 and jumping through more hoops isn't appealing but I'd like to keep my long term options open about where we are going to live.

Well, I think you have a bit of time to decide at least? I haven't even thought about applying yet. Although if I don't hear anything back at all before much longer I might have to file to force their hand.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Yes, there's certainly no rush now, esp as Kelly is expecting to be here soon (or not as Vermont is moving so slowly, I would have been happier to wait on mine and gotten hers first)

They filed back on March 2nd, still no word. Fred's going over there in September, maybe, hopefully they'll have heard by then and he may even be there for her interview. Who knows, we can only hope :)

That would be great, if he is there about then! I'll bet he likes it there, a lot of people who go over, like Kim's husband really really loved it.

Wish her all the best from us :innocent:

That sucks!! How about a service request? I put in a service request twice with my ROC at CSC.. After the second time, i received a letter in the mail straight away telling me that we had to go to an interview.. (had interview for AOS and ROC ) It seems that VSC are really dragging their feet with approvals :( The N-400 process does seem to be a lot faster than ROC.. I applied for N-400 in June and i have an interview/test in September.

Really hope you hear something very very soon!! Keep us posted!!

I'd need the various numbers of the bits of paperwork, and they are at home. We are still in Nashville post transplant, and I've no idea when we are getting discharged home.

Congrats on your news Michelle.

I understand you on the "keeping options open". In the next year or two I think we're going to start proceedings to move back down to New Zealand. I'll probably go the way of citizenship for that reason only. If we moved back without it then all this hassle would have been for nothing and if we ever wanted to come back then we'd have to go through it all over again....god forbid :bonk: So citizenship is the only way around that I think.

Cdneh, I don't think I would bother either if it wasn't for this, knowing my luck the first thing that will happen afterwards will be a notice for jury duty :o

I've taken a glance over the paperwork for Chris to move downunder and the medical is way more complex than it was to move here!! They want to make sure that they're not going to be more than a $25,000 per lifetime drain on our health system. They even have a waist measurement and BMI that they have to be under!!! We'd be screwed by that alone, however I did read further and find out that if you're already married and want to take them back home, and if they don't tick all the boxes then you can apply for a waiver and normally most people have the waiver granted if they're already married legitimately, which is just as well as a lot of our boxes will not be ticked :o

Anyway, we're in Portland now, moved into a 2bdr unit....just got to find jobs now.....there's always something
