HELLO...

MY FIANCE HAD HIS INTERVIEW ON THE 13TH OF FEBUARY, THE OFFICER SAID EVERYTHING IS FINE, AND NAME PROCESSING IN WASHINGTON...WHAT IS THE USUAL TIME FOR THESE TO BE CHECKED AND COME BACK TO THE CONSULATE, ARE THEY RETURNING MORE QUICKLY NOW? I THINK THIS IS THE HARDEST PART OTHER THAN THE INTERVIEW ITSELF, ILL TRY AND BE PATIENT..THANK YOU ALL FOR UR ANSWERS.... :help:

the no time frame thing is the biggest problem for AP (Administrative processing), or name and security checks

i wish u did not have to fall into this boat, my husband has been on it since sep 2007, some people since march, that is almost a year's wait after the interview

so I wish for you that they dont make you wait that long

mean while call DOS (u can get their number my searching DOS number in the search box on VJ) dial 1 then 0, get the current info on ur case

most likely they will say Administrative processing until the very end when it goes back to the consulate

they treat mid east, n. africa and pakistan/bangladesh very strictly on name checks..mostly due to the fact that theyre all names muhammad :)

but even otherwise, its a long dark abyss, as Mary, a most informative VJ member says - btw her husbands AP was shy of 5 months

mine is passing that mark....

many are frustrated, check on my topics section on the insides of AP

I really wish you the best of luck and wishing for a short AP

it all depends on how many checks and what name/country the applicant is from

My prayers are with you

Tammy
