Just a very quick question...

Our biometrics appointment is at 1:00 PM Wednesday. I have requested the entire afternoon off from my job. I was hoping we would get done with the appointment and have enough time to go by the DMV so Erika can take her driver's test. The DMV closes at 5:00 and isn't too far from the biometrics office. Can anyone who's been through the biometrics appointment give me an idea as to how long it will take? I think I'm going to go insane if I hear the question "when am I going to get my driver's license?" one more time! Our appointment's at the KC office on Conant Avenue in case anyone's been there.

mine took almost an hour. not because there were too many people but it's because the ridges on my fingers were too thin. i had to do the finger printing so many times.

I think it depends on where you are. I'm in NY and mine took about 20 minutes, however there have been other people in New York who had to wait hours. Mine was also at 1:00pm and I think it may have been quick because it was not early morning.

My biometrics appointment was on a Friday at 8am and only took about 15 minutes in Charleston, SC. The great thing is that people who are there for biometrics do not have to stand in the same line as people with infopass appointments therefore it takes alot less time. You shouldn't be there for more than an hour altogether so don't worry about it.

Did you made sure ahead of time that she has all the documents she needs for the driver's license?

Does she has a social security number, and what are the restrictions that the DMV of your state has? I've seen people in some states that couldn't get it until they had the EAD or even the Green Card, so I hope you checked that out first.
