Being able to communicate coherently, with a degree of charisma has to have some sort of value, surely...

Why exactly did people vote for Bush? It doesn't appear to be for his personal characteristics or winning way with words.

I suspect Bush's wins had little to do with him personally as with the teams of experienced marketers running his campaigns.
