My husband is here on K3, we went and filed AOS in April 2007. We had AOS interview in July 2007 and was told that they couldnt approve AOS until approval of I130. Our I130 was stuck in name check ( this was filed in 2005). Last week, we went for the interview for an I130 and was told that they would make a decision and notify us by mail. If approved, will they just automatically send the green card? or is there something else we should be aware of?

Has this ever happened to anybody? It seems that we are going backwards in the immigration process. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

well my husband is here since april 2007, the problem was our I130 was never approved. it was filed in 2005. if not for the k3, he would still be in Jordan. We had I130 interview last week in the United States. we both were interviewed (and video taped). we already filed for AOS in April 2007 and had AOS interview in July 2007. I know this is confusing cause this isnt the normal procedure. it literally seems like we are going backwards in this process.

Normally, if he had his interview for the I130 in Jordan, he would have received his conditional green card but since he has been here now from a K3 and we are waiting with what will happen after this interview. I am hoping that when approved, he will be issued his green card. This july will be our 3rd wedding anniversary.

with the current situation with the middle east, name check will take longer to process.

but i think you will get your gren card. i don't think they denied because they have to deport your husband back to jordan

and start the process all over again. which is a pain.

so i wish you luck on your life and hope you received your green card soon
