ok! my 18 year old daughter who we placed on our application has now decided to stay and finish college and be with her boyfriend....(puppy love) aww!

anyway. what do we do now?

of course i would've loved for her to come with us and my SO is real upset although he knows she's a young lady and it's her choice.

do we notify USCIS and try to get her removed or do we just go through the process?

she says if it's easier for us she'll just go ahead with the interview and medical and stuff.

do you think this is the best idea?

at least that way if she changes her mind she can come over when she feels like right?

no need to notify USCIS. If she goes ahead with the medical and interview, she would have six months to enter the USA. the K-2 visa can not be extended. if it might be longer than six months, then probably would be better to wait. you'll have up to one year from the date your k-1 visa is issued to have the K-2 visa issued.

You can keep her options open for six months by getting the visa at the same time as mom.

You can keep her options open for a year by arranging a "follow to join".

You can't actually cut off her one year option to follow to join. They'll keep it open anyway.
