Kiev Interview - Medical Examination Processing Times

My fiancee will be interviewing in Kiev soon for her K-1. A document from the embassy said she could receive the results of her medical examination at 3:00 pm of the same day she takes the examination. But I have also heard she has to take her medical examination 3 days in advance of her consular interview, apparently in order to give time for the medical results to be delivered to the embassy staff. Can someone clarify all this for me? Thanks!

That's true that you pick up your medical results the same day at 3pm. I had my medical way in advance (even before I had my KEV number from NVC); I came in at 10.30am and left the medical center at 3.30pm. All that time I was doing tests and seeing doctors; in about twenty minutes after I'd talked to the last doctor (around 3pm) - I was given my tests results. There were few girls whose interviews were the next day. I don't think they send any info to the Embassy; they gave me the sealed envelope with my tests results which I had to bring to the interview. That's it! If your fiancee doesn't live in Kiev, she can easily have her medical a day before the interview. My only advice would be for her to come as early as she can. She also should call for an appointment beforehand.

Good luck :) !

I scheduled my medical exam the day before the interview. The results are usually ready the same day in the afternoon (if you don't have any problems), you should pick them up and take to your interview to the embassy yourself, they don's send anything there. It's your job. That's what I did and the next day at 9 a.m. I had my interview. Ask your girl to go to the medical exam beforehand to be one of the first (usually there are big lines). Good luck!

Higjlighted information above is not correct... There is no delivery from the medical clinic to the consulate.. the applicant hand carries in the information... the same information that you pick up the same day after 3:00 includes the consulate packet....

YMMV
