Hello.

I am really hoping to get some help. When we filed documents, they asked for my husband's address in Egypt. He is just renting a room and gives his Grandmothers address as his mailing address. The Embassy sent someone to check on his address and His 85 year old grandmother told them he does not live here - Any advice on how to handle this?

Thank you ,

i agree with mariem or you can say he was living there but for some reasons he moved to another place and i think that could happen to anyone during the visa process

my best wishes for ya

have a nice blessed day

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Meriem, thank you.....I so appreciate your help....

Have a great day.

ps as you can tell, I am new to this .....

I would just send the embassy an email, and explain to them that that is only his mailing address and not his physical address. Then give them his physical address and directions. Good luck.

I saw your reply, Robyn. Just remember when you email the embassy, put you case number in the subject line. I just want to wish you good luck getting this straightened out.

It is best to be truthful. Especially since the Grandmother has already said he does not live there. You should tell them it is his permanent mailing address but his physical address is the one he is at. Also make sure he tells who he rents his room from that the embassy may come by for a home visit so they are not caugh off guard. Honesty is always the best policy to ensure a quicker process. IF they think you are dishonest may lead to more AP. When my Fiancee went for his Interview they asked him if we had signed marriage papers....he looked worried but answered truthfully and said yes but they are not legal cuz not signed by judge. The CO said do not worry we just wanted to see if you honest. It will not effect your visa. Then the CO marked approved on the form right in front of him so he could see and told him have a happy marriage and good life in USA. That was February 11th we are waiitng for visa now. The CO said 2 to 3 weeks. So be honest. Email them with an explanation and give them the physical address of your fiancee. Include your case number and a cell phone number where they can reach both of you if any questions.
