K-1 Application details

I just got my finace's G325A forms, her letter of intent to marry and her picture.

The picture is full frontal view and I think slightly small. There are 22 letters in her full name and her signature looks like it might have 4-5 letters in it. I told her it needs to be her full and complete signature and this is what I got.

Does anyone have any idea if this would be acceptable to turn in for the K-1 visa application.

I imagine if that is her signature it is fine....mine does not look like my full last name either. If she always signs it the same I can't see a problem.

The USCIS on the other hand... doesn't.

As for signature, as long as it's consistent with how she always signs, it will be fine. Since when are signatures meant to be ledgable?!

I am very positive that a person's signature can look like ANYTHING so long as it always looks the same. Chicken scratch is fine...so long as it's the same chicken scratch everytime. As far as the picture I'm not sure what's needed for the k-1 visa but for the k-3 which is the same application I -129F form I sent a frontal view of the face in a passport size photo. One for myself and one for my husband. I'm sure if you check the guides you can find the exact information for your k-1 process detailed. Good Luck!

Full frontal pics are fine (my favorite too ) How much smaller then the specified size is the pic? If its only a matter of a very slight difference I wouldnt worry at all as I have seen other posts of same and they have been accepted just fine. As for signature........a signature is a signature, its not meant to necessarily contain the exact number of characters as the written name.

Oh I have similar story... I got Olya's papers and was looking them over. I seen what she signed as her signature and was like WHHHHAT!?!?

I asked her about it. She said she had no idea what I was talking about, ie first, middle and last names, which I knew were slightly different with ehr being Russian. However, that aside, the signature was nothing like what i could tell was her name.

She informed me that in Uzbekistan people have their own "signature", Kind of reminded me of the days when people couldn't spell so they signed "X" hehe.

Anyhow I had to explain it all to her and now I just hope that all passes along smoothly on this side of the sea. I am sure at the Consulate they are aware of this so I am not too concerned about that end.

I'd turn it in and the worst that will happen is you will get an RFE and that may not happen. RFE's are nothing to panic about.

Once the signatures are consistent throughout the petition it will be fine. My husband's signature looks like a scribble...but it always looks the same

Photos are full frontal 2 inches x 2 inches and USCIS are very picky about this!

My signature consists of a my initials, a J, an L and a C that looks like a big O. The rest of the letters are just a flourish of the pen. I've never had any troubles with USCIS with that, and I've sent them a lot of papers.
