I'm guessing you'll be held and possibly deported since you're now out of status.

2. Can I travel within US if my K1 visa has expired 9 months ago? (and I'm not married yet)

Yes. But see response to question 1.

I would think that driving with your Ukrainian driver's license wouldn't be the real issue here to worry about. If your K1 visa expired 9 months ago then you have been here illegally for 6 months. Even if you can drive her legally with your license, you are in this country illegally so if you got pulled over, you'd likely be detained and deported.

I've been driving for several months already but never been pulled over. So I want to know whether it's risky for me now to drive at all?

Seriously, though. They'll probably pull you into traffic court or issue a ticket for driving without a valid license.

Whether or not you are allowed to drive with a foreign drivers license is state dependent. What state are you in??

But in the grand scheme of things, breaking any law at this point would risk deportation.....

You came here on a K1 and you're not married after 9 months? Did you pay close attention to the 90 day time period for getting married upon entry to the US? I would think the issue of your foreign driver's permit is the least of your worries at the moment. IMHO of course. :)

I know, but my fiance keeps saying since 90 days have passed, it doesn't matter any more. And I can't persuade him :(

my ex got pulled over on a speeding ticket. (he was illegal in this country) didnt have a valid license from our state and got a ticket, when he went to pay the ticket they pulled him into court....detained...2 weeks later deported.

i would NOT by any realm of the imagination think it was safe to drive for you right now, especially since your considered illegal as well.

You've already passed your status so you are here illegally, but every day you are here is a risk that you will be caught. If you are caught after violating a K1 you will probably have a very hard time re-entering on the same visa or any visa. If he isn't willing to move to your country to be with you then you are risking your entire relationship and any chance you have of being together.
