It's not specific states I'm talking about but just finding a decent paying job and moving to it.

Having just a degree and no work experience may mean taking a job just to get experience.

My wife is a chemical engineer and she used to work for a Colombian textile manufacturing company as a production supervisor. She now works for Toyota at the San Antonio plant as a production supervisor. This type of job is good for someone who has an engineering background but it doesn't require a license as a PE.

I am a chemical engineer as well in the Philippines just receive my evaluation from AACRAO as evaluated it say my degree in my country is comparable to US university . Just would like to ask if your wife had her license converted in US ? thank you so much for taking time to read.

It's pretty easy to find an engineering gig in Houston. Louisiana also has a considerable shortage of engineers. Which is odd, because LSU turns out a lot of engineers every year.
