has anyone had to fill the I-129F from overseas? I am currently going to school in Australia, where I have meet my finance. Regarding fees the website says it needs to be drawn from a u.s. bank with u.s. currency. It goes on to say that if you are overseas to contact the closest consulate. Well, I have called over and over again and I have received no response and I have also called USCIS service number (and frankly have never been treated with such distain) and received no help. Has anyone had to apply from overseas? if so, how did you pay your fees?

any help will be greatly appreciated. This is our last step before we send our application and I am only ending up at dead-ends. :help:

I filed from Israel. I had my mother send me check from her account to me filled out properly. The check is in her name but that doesnt matter. That is the only fee you will have to pay until the fiance begins the interview stages with the packets and medical. Those can usually be paid in local currency or if not, the fiance is there and can exchange funds in person and figure it out.

If there are no friends or family who can help you ... try an international bank like citibank. They can usually write you a bank check but it will cost you more. I would try the embassy again though to be sure

It is slightly more stressful filing from abroad... I watched my UPS tracking every other hour for 2 days until it arrived in Vermont.

Emmett Fitz-Hume: I'm sorry I'm late, I had to attend the reading of a will. I had to stay till the very end, and I found out I received nothing... broke my arm.
