you wait... make as many inquiries as you like - Casa just takes their sweet time sometimes in processing cases. You are undergoing security checks now (which take place in USA) and as soon as those have cleared, you will be notified of a decision. For many it can take up to 6 months or more sometimes. The fact that you are still in AR is good, since usually denials happen right away. Good luck. This is a trying time on your patience. (F)

Me~N~Him and Brind are right. Nothing you can do. There is no way to make them go faster. My husband interviewed Nov 2006 and got his visa Feb 2207. Another VJ member interviewed same day/time as him and got his visa in March. They did not keep their passport. Not sure why they kept yours if they weren't going to issue the visa right away. All you can do is use the time to get to know your fiancee better and make plans for your future together. We sent each other links to websites for ideas for our wedding, which was a lot of fun. Another way to get to know what your spouse likes.

Maggie makes a good point. My husband was interviewed about the same time as hers and he got the visa in the middle of January (but they didnt make him leave his passport, he had to bring it in again). So its a little different for everyone. The waiting is normal, and even though it seems like FOREVER, you just have to make the best of it. My husband and I spent the time making wedding plans, discussing the future, etc. I sent him lots of pics of our home and the area around it so he could see where he was going to live. Ironically, the wait on us was so stressful, I booked a trip to go visit him and 3 days later his visa was approved. Im not saying you should go drop a grand on tickets and hope the visa will pop up, but it was a nice distraction. I got to see him and his family again, enjoy a vacation, and he followed me home in a week.
