Hello all,

My wife's I130 petition was approved today. Our I129F is still pending. Can someone please tell me the procedure to cancel K3 processing. I remember reading somewhere that I need to write a letter to USCIS requesting them to cancel my I129F petition. Has anyone done this before? Can someone please provide me with some kind of sample letter? Thanks in advance.

You really want to do absolutely nothing. There's lots to read here about the status of the K3 process. Currently, I expect you should do nothing. You could really shoot yourself in the foot.

From what I seen and have heard Sahil, do nothing - you are there mate - let it go onto NVC (the I-130) - they will probably binn the I129f and probably is key word here.

Again good luck and god speed

Why is it necessary to send them a letter to cancel the K3 if you know they are going to "administratively close" it anyhow. It appears that this is now the official process coming from Vermont because it has happened so much lately for it to just be a rumor. What will happen on a negative side if you just let it "ride." We received our approval on February 4 and we are now at NVC. Our I-129f has been touched 3 times lately and it still says "pending." So I am assuming they are just letting it sit there.

At this point, since there is a big delay between our I-129f and our I-130 even if they were to approve it, we would be better off going the CR route.
