Here's a link that you may find helpful: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

It's always a good idea to bring multiple copies of certified documents with certified translations, and be sure to bring updated copies of the ones that expire, like police reports and court reports. Make sure they all have that postage stamp-like certification affixed. It's the only one they are consider to be official.

A new thing they just started is requiring passport photos of the requesting immigrant(s) to be submitted with the DS-230. If your DS-230 left the NVC prior to January 31, it would be advisable to take at least US 2 passport size photos with you to your interview just in case they ask you for them!

We applied for an IR-1 visa. Insha'allah, our case should be sent to Casa in the next 10 days or so. I'm traveling to Morocco next week to help my husband prepare for his interview. I've collected a lot of resources and interview information for the event. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I will do my best to help you.

Just my advice: I would take EVERYTHING (even if i know they already have it) to be on the safe side. I didn't go through Casa, but when he went for his interview, he had pictures and everything even when he knew I had also sent in pictures, and even then, they asked for letters we had written to each other, etc. It's better to be safe than sorry. Even if they don't ask for it, TAKE IT, that'll save you time with the waiting.

Best of luck!

It may be best to go on ahead and send for them now even if they don't come in time for your interview. That way, if they are requested at the interview, you can provide them more quickly afterward. Anything that cuts down on your wait time is advisable.
