Hey you all,

How are you doing? I just joined this website... My fiancé and I started this process in August 2007 and we finally have a date for my interview in Kingston (April 2008). Naturally I am so nervous and the wait is killing me. My problem is that I applied 3 times before for a visitor's visa in 2001, 2002 and 2006 and was rejected on all three occasions. I was refused based on the fact that I did not provide enough evident of my ties to Jamaica. I applied to go visit my fiancé in 2006 when I was studying in London and the immigration officer wrote a B in bracket (B) net to the stamp in my passport. What does that mean?

Will that affect my K-1 application?

Shouldn't because you were most likely denied because you could not overcome the intention to immigrate.. As a K-1 you are an intended immigrant therefore it is the right visa

YMMV

Thanks fwaguy

I thought so too but had trouble convincing myself... I just had to hear someone else say it. The pressure surrounding this process is overwhelming!!

Do you happen to know What the B in bracket represent?

We were rejected for a tourist visa also, prior to filing the K1.

The rejection of the tourist visa had no impact on our K1 process.

Peace and good luck!
