I think that, after a case is done at the DOS, it can bounce back to the embassy.

I called Dos today and woman told me that the embassy start reviewing your case on 31st of jan what the heck that mean does it mean my ap is finished and they are checking the case thats it

Ahh I had a similar response. What happens is after AP is done (and AP means nothing but "working on the case for security checks") the case gets a clear and it goes to the conslate. At that time, the consulate then reviews the case, "AR" for the results of the security clearance and then issues the visa

for those of us who have gone through prolonged AP, our cases get another name hit is the database WHILE it is at the consulate in reivew, it is then sent BACK to washington for more AP and that is what the dos woman means, that at the current time, your last AP got its results and was sent to the consulate as of the 31st, which is a good sign, and I pray that you get the visa with this clearance

but if needs more clearance, next time you call you will hear AP instead of AR

these are the final stages though

I pray for our cases and all those waiting on AP/AR

Tammy
