Hi,

It may be a stupid question but I was asking myself, how would we do without VJ? I checked the USCIS website but I can't find any guidelines nor anything about how, for example, a K1 VISA works and what needs to be done, etc. Maybe I didn't check well enough but I don't think anyone can find clear instructions, except the instructions that comes with the different forms but you can imagine how difficult the whole process would be if that's all we had.

My point is that I don't know how my wife and I would have done without this website and we're still in the process and I know I will still need you guys as well as this website. I just find it absolutely unbelievable that the USCIS website doesn't provide these information. But again, maybe I didn't search the website well enough so if you know where to find guidelines etc on USCIS, just let me know, out of curiosity...

I got lot of help from VJ, especially its guides and members' experiences which made our process easier. Members like Aussiewench (Lorelle)

Hear, hear. Shame that VJ STILL can't stomach the idea of acknowledging her contribution to others' immigration process, isn't it?

When WILL that link to work again, I wonder

I just clicked the FBI link and it works. Lorelle is really a great person. She would reply your question with a great details. I wish she is still at this site. VJ newbies would have been benefitted, if she were here now.

LOL, you're gonna get suspended for words like those!

Why? Lorelle is the one who helped me most when I was a VJ novice. I just told the truth. Personally I think everyone should get along with everyone. And I always try to be honest no matter what.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
