Salaam all,

Happy Friday!

So our case has been forwarded to Casa, :dancing: and now we wait...

Having read all the posts regarding the Casa interviews and all the returned petitions, i think i remember that someone suggested contacting your Rep or Senator before the interview even takes place. Just to let them know who you are and your circumstance and that you may have to call on them if you need them.

Do you think i should contact my Senator beforehand, just to let them know what we're doing....? Or would they just not even make note of it, and tell me to contact them if/when (God forbid) there is a problem?

I'm in New Jersey, by the way... if that makes any difference.

Thanks for your help as always! (F)

not sure if you have red flags or not (are significantly older than him, met online, got engaged too quickly, etc) but if you don't really... i wouldn't bother. but i think if you are really worried over whatever red flags you have it might be a good idea to get in touch just in case a denial comes. other people here can better answer this though! good luck!

p.s. CASABLANCA did you check that thread?

My opinion i would get in contact with them, sign the release and let them know about your case and who you are. I know of one that the rep sent a email just before interview (was flags) not sure if it helped or how much but he got the visa first time no prob, so im thinking it never hurts to be prepared

I think that wouldn't hurt to have the representative involved - hope for the best but be prepared for the worse. You never know when you might need their help...

Best of luck in Casa!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for your insight! i did read the CASABLANCA thread, but i should probably go back and read again. There are so many variables!

The only read flag i can think of is that i had a previous K1 submission a few years back for a different person, different country. In the end, we abandoned the petition before he even interviewed. i addressed it already in this K1 petition, and Habibi is prepared to answer any questions regarding it.

Sounds like it might be good to sign the release form now... maybe then, if there is a problem (God forbid!), they can act more quickly? All this is pretty nerve-wracking.

Thanks for your help and well-wishes, (F)

Salaam Everybody,

Happy Saturday.

I am getting my stuff ready to take to Morocco next week inchallah.

Just to get some ideas:

How many e-mails did you guys include for your interview?

We didn't have too, too many for the preliminary petition because I had just arrived in the US when we decided to do the K1. (That was last June 07) :clock: .

Thanks for your help as always!

Hey! Thank you for your quick response!

Yes, i am certain that if i print out every single e-mail and translate it... they will not even look at it.

On the other hand, if we bring none... they will give us hell for lack of electronic correspondance.

:bonk: C'est la vie.

Thanks again!
