Anybody who can reply...your answers are more than welcome. However the matter of my question regards specialy canadians.

- 1- can we get the shots at same time of medical exam and is it included in the 220$ cost?

- 2- can we chose the doctor we wanna consult from those who are approved by US government ?

- 3- is it better to wait on packet 3 to take medical appointment or is it ok to do it before?

- 4- Does my vaccination booklet must be translate and notorized ( as I'm french canadian. I'll try to get a copy in both language but not sure if they will do one in english )

well I guess thats it...for now lolll ty guys (F)

1) Vaccinations are typically an upcharge

2) As long as the doctor is on the approved list you can choose anyone from that list

3) For us, the clinic would not perform the medical without the consulate case number... may or may not be your situation

4) It would be good to have your vaccination record translated... if not for this purpose for purposes potentially in the future...

YMMV

You can get any missing shots at your medical, however they not covered in the initial exam fee. I went to a Dr. in Toronto.

You canpick any doctor on the list that was provided in packet three.

Its ok to do it before but your packet 3, however your results are only good for one year so make sure to stay within those guidelines. You do need a case number though.

I do not believe that your vaccinations records have to be notarized...or at least no one else that I have spoken to got their's notorized.

Hope that helps!

Hi there! I just had my medical yesterday. I could chose my doctor from the list the consulate has sent me in packet 3. I went to the one that was the closest to the place where I live. I had a certified translation-no need to notarize if its certified! of my vaccinations record (the original was in my native laguage- polish). The doctor said I need to get one vaccine- MMR. But it was included in the price.

I don't know if you can take the medical before you receive packet 3. It depends on how they process the case in Canada. I know that in some countries you take the MEDICAL on the day of the interview and right after the medical you are told to immidiately go for the interview with the consular officer.

So you should find out if they rquire you to take the medical on the day of the interview or prior to it.

Good luck!

PS My arm is swollen from the vaccine- but we do it all for love! :-)
