First, what the hell is going on with my AOS? I was getting "touches" that weren't touches every day until two weeks ago. Then I just got two more "touches" that weren't touches and still NOTHING. I thought getting transferred to California made the process FASTER? I've officially concluded that despite all the b.s. rhetoric, they do NOT process cases in the order they receive them. Congrats to all those who've gotten theirs already. I'll let you know when I get mine...in a year.

Rant two, what the hell is wrong with the Indiana BMV? They take over two months to "inform" me that my drivers license is on hold until I provide them a copy of a valid I-94 and I have 14 days to send it or they will cancel it. What the hell? I don't NEED a valid I-94...I got married before my first one expired! If I hadn't of just gone back to Canada last weekend I still wouldn't have one and they'd cancel it despite the fact I PAID for it and passed the road test. The Indiana BMV can kiss my WMB!

Rant over. Thanks USCIS and IBMV. For nothing.

My AOS was transferred and it took them 2 months to approve ours - you're right at two months today. But obviously you never know how busy they are at any given time. You could get your approval next week - ya never know.

Oh. I didn't realize it could take up to two months. So I guess you're right. It's just maddening when they're approving ones that went after yours, etc. Maybe it shouldn't even matter eh? After all, I have the EAD and the AP. I can work and I can visit family.

Haha... I thought ours would be faster because we were also transferred to CA, but they're being kinda slow with mine!

And I thought 2 months was fast! Especially seeing as the K1 process seemed to take almost a year for us!

But, I am wondering what is going on with CSC, too... since they apparently didn't receive what we sent as our RFE a week after USPS said it was delivered there... :clock:

I hear ya. Due to some unfortunate circumstances our K1 process was OVER a year! lol Sorry to hear CSC is incompetent with your RFE. Hope all that gets straightened out soon. The more time goes by the more I think I'm going to get an RFE too.

Blah.

Mine was moved to CSC.. then 2 mths later moved back to MSC! Go figure..

Oh that just sucks! :crying: Sorry that happened.

CSC processes applications when they receive the FBI namecheck back. Really, the only thing that CSC lends itself to anymore is not having an interview. In some locations obtaining an interview is much faster, but it all boils down to when your namecheck is back. Its not worth getting upset over (IMHO) as it is completely out of your control. Comparing ourselves to where others are on lists, etc. just does not outline the process at all. Heck, if some of us waiting years for approval looked for touches often, we would have gone berzerk by now

I LIVE in CSC and our case is still stuck at NVC for some reason...........

Your case is at NBC/MSC and it makes no difference that you live in that region for a transfer or not.

i had my fbi name check done last april (different thing all together) so hopefully I will get my AOS soon..

do they process them from the initial date or the date that CSC receives it?

Namecheck is ordered shortly after your NOA by MSC. I am afraid this will be its own process altogether. I mean, We completed security clearances for K1 in 2005, and 3 months later we started the namecheck procedure for AOS. The USCIS won't accept any back clearances from itself, I would doubt they would every accept a different (albeit possibly similar) review designed for another purpose.

CSC is just a clearinghouse. They check for RFEs needed, and adjudicate. If all the components are there, the file is completed (aka approved)

They go by the date on the "Pending at CSC" letter. (Meaning approved pending the namecheck.) Not that the processing date matters, because the FBI namecheck timeline skews the data.

Joe.... my approval took six months from the date of the AOS transfer.
