Hey everyone,

On the G-325A form, where it asks for previous spouses, or other names previously used, should I just leave the space blank, or should I write "none" or "N/A" so that it's clear to them? I'd appreciate your help. Also, for my fiance, where it asks for a SSN or the Alien number, should I write anything or just leave it blank? He doesn't have either of those numbers yet. Thank you.

That is correct. For instance "none" is appropriate to indicate no former spouse because the question itself is definitely "applicable". If there were a follow-up question like the date of marriage, once you've indicated "none" the date becomes N/A.

I add a designator many don't use because my Chinese wife and daughter and my own daughter's for that matter, don't have middle names, so rather than "none" which IS a name in some languages, I indicate "----".

Hi.

I personally put "none" for "previous spouses", and then in the other columns with that where it asks for previous spouse's address, stuff like that, I put N/A. There were a few spots like that on the form, where I'd put 'none' to the initial question and then N/A to all the follow-ups.

Be sure to read the guides if you haven't already and take a look at the example forms here . If you follow the samples you should be okay.

Like for exampe on mine I put "N/A" first for the alien registration number, and then later found the sample forms, which says to put 'none' - so I went oops and went back and whited it out.

To be honest I don't think a lot of the adjudicators are THAT picky but just follow the guides and definately don't leave ANYTHING blank :D

Good luck

I just would like to clarify- If I put 'None' on former husband, do I also have to put N/A

on the boxes that follow, like first name of husband- N/A, date of birth-N/A? Or can I just leave the follow-up questions as blank?

You don't "have to" but it's a good idea.
