K3 visa status, getting ready for adjusment status

Hello,

I am in USA with a k3 visa, in september I will be filling my adjustment for status, I already got a social security number and authorization fo employment. I moved the last december so, my question is do I have to notify my new adress to the INS and the social security department?

I am thinking about the proofs that I am going to need for the interview for the adjustment fo status.

Any time an alien living in the USA moves, they MUST report this to USCIS by filing AR-11 either by mail or electronically within 10 days of moving, and later when they have green card, any time they move they file AR-11, and sponsor must file I-865. This is required by law.

WOW...so in my case, my husband is my sponsor and he has to submit the I-865 and I have to submit the AR-11?

Yes, you must send in both the AR-11 and the I-865. Even now before you have the green card, your sponsor spouse must also notify them when he moves. Or you may both face monetary fines, and possible jail time and/or deportation.

Hi. I was not aware you can get the work authorization and Soc. Sec# without filing for adjustment of status. That is great. How does that work? I am waiting on my husbands I-129F & I-130 to get approved. Any info would help me so much.

K3s can apply for EAD separately from the AOS package. This'll cost you extra now though so might as well do it all in the same AOS package as soon as possible after your husband arrives.

K3s can apply for EAD separately from the AOS package. This'll cost you extra now though so might as well do it all in the same AOS package as soon as possible after your husband arrives.

One recommendation for K-3 is to apply for EAD first, pay the $340 for it, and then file for AOS closer to 2nd wedding anniversary, if AOS is approved after 2nd wedding anniversary, then green-card will be un-conditional. Removing conditions from a conditional green-card costs more than the cost of EAD.

Again if work is the priority, then dont file for K-3 in the first place, CR-1 IR-1 visas are work authorized, K-3 is not.
