Travels Outside US for Conditional Permanent Residence

Hello Everyone,

I received my Conditional Green Card on July 2005 and will be able to remove the conditional status on July 2007. I attained my GC through marriage. I was out of the US for 5 1/2 months last year and I'm planning to travel outside the US this year for 5 to 6 months again. My question is - will my travels or length of stay outside the US affect my I-751 petition (Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence)?

My husband is very supportive of my travels. In fact, my 3 year-old, US Citizen, daughter travelled and will be travelling with me.

Any information/advice will be appreciated.

It should not have any effect on lifting conditions...... but if you are going to be applying for citizenship it will count against you for that....

The requirements for naturalization include no unauthorized absence over 6 months as long as a domicile is maintained and be physically present for at least half of the time.

as a permanent resident you cannot stay out of USA for longer than 364 days not to lose their status.

If you think about naturalization, it's no longer than 6 months
