Hey, everyone! I just finished posting an exclamation-point-ridden post in the AOS namecheck thread but thought I'd come over here for more free-form glee.

I just received notification that 769 days after applying, my husband's green card has been approved! We've been stuck in name check all this time.

I guess I can suspend my judicious use of exclamation points for one post. And use this silly icon:

Even in these exciting times, this one deserves death: :dancing:

Come to think of it, so does this one:

Anyway, YAY!!!!!!!! No more renewing interim benefits for outrageous fees! Biting nails about AP! Renewing the drivers license every damn year! (We're not going to need EAD #3 after all--$340 down the drain)

I think this calls for getting sloshed! And on this, the most commercial of bull$#it holidays.

Woo hoo!

As soon as Jon has his 10-year card in hand, I'll revert to my original VJ username, Big_ag

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Thanks, everyone! I can only assume that Joyce worked her helmet magic on those FBI and USCIS functionaries.

 1st-CONGRATS!

 2nd-what are you going to change your name to?

Big_ag, as in Big Agnes (nickname). It was my original (one might say optimistic) VJ username before the namecheck nonsense. Nothing to do with agriculture, don't worry! Also, nothing to do with the company that makes those fancy tents and comfy sleeping bags.

Edit: it's big_ag (all lowercase). But I don't want to curse it--I'll wait til Jon actually has the card!
