hate Valentine's day as much as I do? I'm sorry but I see NOTHING romantic about this holiday. If you have to have a million commericals and reminders on the TV, internet, store to remind you to do something sweet for your S.O. how is that special?

I'd much rather recieve flowers any other day of the year than to receive some red roses on Valentine's Day. I almost feel as if it's an obligation or something. Any other cupid haters?

Today at work, they are having this mini celebration which I don't mind because we have free crepes which is always a plus. But they also bring in this company that sells roses and everyone is buying them! This one lady bought a dozen roses for her boyfriend and she said she already sent him a dozen roses to work this morning. I feel like I'm gonna puke!

I couldnt agree more. I mean they start putting out all the Valentines day ####### right after Christmas! I asked my husband how it was in Jordan and he told me you usually can't find any holiday related items until a week or so before the holiday!

That's probebly as cheesy as all the people wearing "red" today. I wish I could say they were wearing red to support the American Heart Association, at least I can try to think that in my mind. The only thing worse than wearing red is heart shaped accesories!

It _is_ getting pretty sickening. I havent done anything special for Valentines' in years b/c Ive been preoccupied. Last year I was in Maroc, the year before that I was in Maroc, and the year before that I had just met Ahmed. The holiday was fun when I was younger, dad used to buy chocolates for me and flowers for mom, but these days it just seems way too commercialized. Kinda like Christmas, actually. Seems like there's so much dang-blasted emphasis on buying someone something, rather than expressing love, charity, togetherness, etc or whatever the holiday spirit is.
