how long how long how long before we have our money?

just wondering if anyone got theirs and how many weeks it took.

(using this money to move away!)

Married 12-30-05

Started our visa journey Jan 06.

01-06 - I-130, K3 shortly after

04-06 - switched to Canada Immigration

07-06 - Moved to Canada (PR almost complete)

07-06 - Changed again, back to US imm.

09-06 - Landed as Canadian PR

10-06 - DCF Toronto, Approved in 1.5 hrs!

11-06 - Interview Montreal (success!)

I-130

10-05-06 DCF in Toronto - Approved

10-19-06 Packet 3 received & sent back

10-20-06 Montreal receives P3

11-03-06 Packet 4 received

11-06-06 Medical

11-22-06 Interview / Visa approved

11-26-06 heading home, 6 day drive, my oh my

HOME SWEET HOME

10.24.08 - Mailed I-751 to CSC

Delivered at 9:03 AM on October 25, 2008

10.29.08 NOA1

10.30.08 Check cashed

12.06.08 Biometrics Appt.

12.19.08 Received new Drivers License extended to 2011

03.12.09 Received CONGRATULATIONS letter - Card on the way!!

03.20.09 Received his SHINY new card. WOO HOOOOOOO

YAY!! We can take a break from this madness until Citizenship.

I did it last year for for the first time so we had to file the return by mail with the application for the ITIN, that took about 4 weeks to get the refund, this year I e-filed I had the money in 2 weeks. I hope this helps.

03/29/2006 - Mailed I-130 04/06/2006 - NOA1

08/01/2006 - APPROVED

08/11/2006 - Received at NVC case number assigned

08/21/2006 - DS-3032 & I-864 fee Generated 08/22/2006 - Emailed choice of agent

08/25/2006 - Choice of agent accepted 08/28/2006 - IV bill generated

08/29/2006 - Mailed I-864 bill 09/09/2006 - Mailed IV Bill

09/16/2006 - Received I-864/09/18/2006 - Mailed Completed I-864

09/23/2006 - Mailed DS-230/09/28/2006 - Message says information rec at NVC

10/07/2006 - Message says they are sending an RFE 10/18/2006 RFE returned

10/26/2006 - Case Complete

IR-1 VISA ISSUED IN PLACE OF THE K-3 11/29/2006

04/15/2006 - Mailed I-129F 04/20/2006 - NOA1

08/30/2006 - Approved

09/13/2006 - Sent to Casablanca

You should have filed a tax return or an extension by April 17th...the last day that you have to file a return IF you have filed all the extensions is October 15th.

Hi wayne, just plugging along with the moving plans. It's kinda hard for me to convince someone to rent me a place that isn't a "corporate housing" situation since I have to say I'm going to be job hunting. Looks like I might be hanging out at the red roof inn while I look for an apartment the first 2 weeks in july.

Anyway, I mailed both our CA and Federal off on April 5. I'm hoping to have it mid may, but at the latest I need it to pay the movers mid june!!
