Mel left a few little things around the house for me to find- some cards and chocolates and things.

We had a bottle of champagne when he got home from work and he found the gifts I had gotten for him. I got a flower and chocolate delivery late in the day. We went to an Indian restaurant for dinner- great food!!

We came home to watch Lost and he fell asleep during it.

is it me or was something important left outta that story?

I played World of Warcraft and he sulked because TV Catchup was down - so we have to wait to watch Ashes to Ashes.

We then had a fabulous dinner with my family, saving us all from having to go out and get a table - my mother cooks an awesome filet.

That's about it. NO getting lucky, we're saving our energy for this weekend - our wedding anniversary!

I got a dozen and half red roses from Joe day before valentines. I gave him a card. Valentines day, we had dinner at Philippine Cuisine at Inverness, FL. It was my first dinner in a Filipino restaurant since I arrived here and it was good. Went home and enjoy a warm dip in the jacuzzi with red wine and strawberries and ......lol

Thats us enjoying our Filipino food.

Here's what we both got...

Dinner at home because we didn't want to be stuck in the midst of hungry lovers at every restaurant. Afterwards, WE WENT TO BED... EARLIER than we usually do.

Hubby left me a chocolate box at the kitchen counter in the morning, while I was showering and then I received flowers at work.

The at night when I got home, I gave him 2 sweaters and he said women are not supposed to give men gifts on valentine's day, but he enjoyed the sweaters and I didn't buy the story about women not giving men gifts on V-day, I'm sure he said that just because

he's cheap and he doesn't want me to spend money on him

but I didn't tell him that, of course

Wait, there's something missing, ah,

What did you do, and what was your SO's reaction?

I wore something new and his reaction was something like

We exchanged cards and I gave him his xbox game after he got home from work (a little after 12 am). He got me a very lovely, meaningful card and wrote more loveliness inside. I was touched. I then went to bed and left him alone with the new game. That was part 2 of his gift...leaving him alone with his xbox "wife".

I made him "Orangettes" and Candied oranges.

Technically you use the orange peel. For the candied ones, you have to boil it in water several times and then you put it in a simmering sirup (basic water & sugar). I've been working on it every morning for the past 3 days. the "Orangettes" are the candied orange (peels) dipped in chocolate. Bagged it up.

He came home last night with some treats from work: strawberries, chocolates and mini pastries. I love it, because he just thought to share (and he didn't do anything last year). So then I brought him my present, and he was like "You didn't have to get me anything" I told him I didn't get it.

Then he opened it and didn't seem to mind that I got him something anymore . He tried the treats and loved it, then he brought me in front of the mirror because I still had chocolate on the corner of my mouth from cooking (and tasting) chocolate. He did not help me clean up though.

We ate homemade lasagna, watched Lost and just relaxed together. It was very enjoyable. We try not to make a big deal out of it, even if we like to do or at least say a little something.
