Hello!

My Fiance and I are currently waiting for an interview to be set up for our K1 fiance visa in London, England.

My fiance was an international student and went to school in Minnesota for 4 years. During this time, he still had his permanent residence in England, and returned home about every 5 months.

He has requested a police background check from England, but now that he was reading through the guidelines of what to bring he saw that it said to have a background check for everywhere he's lived for more than a year.

Does he need one from America even though he still had his permanent residence in England and was returning home?

If he does need one, how would he go about requesting one from America? How do you request one without a SSN?

Thanks so much for your help, it is greatly appreciated!

Have a great day!

You do not need to worry about a police certificate for the time he was in the US. They will do a background check.
