Timm's is owned by Yanks. It's Ya'll down there that are keeping us hopped up on caffene up here. Maybe it's an American conspiracy just to keep us distracted from coming down and burning down your whitehouse again......

Just joking, I'm actually looking forward to being an American one day, lots more to do down there.

 good one...

We have three here. I FAR prefer Horton's over Krispy Kreme. I've never understood the KK obsession. All our Dunkin' Doughnuts, shut down a few years back.

Oh, and I love Canadian Catsup! Its sweeter.

My Canadian fiance prefers Starbucks over Tim Hortons. He'll only resort to Tim's if there's no Starbucks nearby :P .

The thing I noticed is that if you get anything other than plain coffee the Tim's is waaayyy more sugared up. Their foofoo coffees (mochas, lattes & such) don't seem to have any coffee in them at all. It's undetectable. They taste like hot chocolate. Now their hot chocolate is yummmmm!! I always buy a can to bring home. My son got hooked on it when he visited last year.

buy you can get ketchup (is catsup a canadianism?) without HFCS here - it's just not heinz

Well, that's just it. By "American ketchup" I mean Heinz, since that's what most foreigners (Canadians included) believe American ketchup is (for better or worse). You really should read the Canadian forum some time. It's interesting. If you were to believe it, everything in Canada is vastly superior to the U.S. in every way -- except, perhaps Canada Post. It seems USPS is considered better than the Canadian postal system, which is quite a scary thought.

 Isn't that the truth!!

Great Scott, you're right! O.K. Canadians, where's the outrage? "Timmys" owned by Yanks? Don't worry, if the Dollar keeps up this downward spiral you'll all own America soon enough anyway.

http://www.thefranchisemall.com/franchises...Tim_Hortons.htm

If Canadians get upset at that, well... they'll really get ticked off at this -- the Hudson's Bay Company (North America's oldest company) is owned by an American. Jerry Zucker, an Israeli-American, acquired the company and became the head of it in 2006. I'm betting quite a few Canadians don't know this either.

The Canadian who sold Tim Hortons to the Americans made a sh!tload of money from the Americans so I say "YAY!!"

The real Hudson's Bay stores went seriously downhill and closed all their anchor stores, which were then promptly converted into "The Bay", which were nowhere near as nice. They now own a bunch of Walmart/K-mart type stores also. It's just not the same anymore.

Tim Horton's coffee is good. And so are their lunches and baked goods. What sets them apart from Second Cup and Starbucks is the price. That and the fact that you can order a regular coffee without having to say half-caf, decaf, extra foamy, non-fat, half-smack, grandiose price please. :hehe: That and their Rrrrrrollll Up The Rim campaign. OMG!!! You may win something, Wide! Isn't it Roll Up The Rim time?!!!!!

I have an autographed picture of Fred, the "time to make the donuts" guy. He wrote, "time to make the donuts" on the glossy 8 x 10 picture. I miss Fred!

In Massachusetts, my glorious home state, I think it's state law that every municipality with more than 10,000 people must have at least two Dunkin' Donuts. I've always liked it, and they have great coffee (the ever-popular laahge regulah). It doesn't taste the same out here (AZ) for some reason.

I think it's now owned by some conglomerate.

I had my first and only Tim Horton's experience in Newfoundland last June. I can see why people like it.

we have ZERO dunkin donuts here. The nearest one is 30 miles away  and contrary to what people may think overall of KS, I live in a really nice city with a ton of shopping districts, etc. I am at a loss :crying:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
