Hey guys,

After waiting about 5 months for a receipt alone from August to December, I can't believe this just happened... I've been APPROVED!!! Being bored and frustrated, I decided to try entering my receipt number into the USCIS website and not only did it work this time, but I just found out that they approved us on February 8th. I can't believe this and I'm in serious shock right. After these people told me it could take 9-10 months because of the delay, I've been approved. Now its time to move on to the next step, which I'm sure I'll have questions on. For everybody still waiting, just hang tough. God works in mysterious ways. He gave us something so wonderful without even expecting it on this Valentine's Day.

Congratulations!! See this is what I'm talking bout....it doesnt matter that much to get the I797C its just about getting that file number and the NOA2!!

So it took you around 6-7months...thats about average. Glad to hear of the movement. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Congratulations!!!!! :dance::dance:

I noticed that, someone put up a spreadsheet to track the time between NOA1 and NOA2, some people waited 4-5 months for NOA1 but once they got it they got their NOA2 within a month.

I am praying I don't get an RFE because if it's about my name change(different name on birth certificate/passport/marriage certificate from my current legal name which I am using for work/SSN/financial records - completely different first and last name, nothing to do with married name) there is nothing I can do to change my marriage certificate until I go to Nepal in May... I might also get RFE'd because I submitted a Nepali/Indian size PP photo of Govi, but I've heard others have gotten through OK, the important thing is to have the US size photo for the interview/visa(of course YMMV)...If it's just that then it is easier to fix than my name situation. So I'm a little nervous now....

Yeah, even after they told me it could take 9-10 months. I'm so happy right now, and also curious about what Round 3 in the ring is going to be like with these people.
