I was.

That was normal.

Last summer I bought a two month health insurance policy from a Danish company http://www.ihi.com/english.asp because as an immigrant I was not eligible for a UK travel insurance policy, nor was I eligible for coverage under my wife's US employer policy until after we were married. I think I paid about GBP150 or so. Thankfully I did not need to use it, but it provided peace of mind.

Are you gonna migrate here in the states? If you plan to shop for insurance here I suggest you get free quotes at brokers such as www.insurancepaylite.com, they can surely help you decide which insurance company is best for your insurance needs. Hope this helps.

Hiya...I was told by several insurance companies, that Ian would have to be in the country for 30 days then after that, he would be able to get health insurance. I don't know if this helps but I hope it does lol.

Good luck

No, she's not an athlete, well we are doing a 10K on Monday.

But College /Uni's scheme allow you to include dependents.

1. Since when have you ever paid to get an Insurance quote?

2. They are a lead generation company, basically they sell your details to local agents.

3. They only deal with those Companies/Agents who have signed up with them, which may or may not be the one for you.

Not if the health care is acctually thru his parents who have him still insured thru their policy until he's out of college.

Which is what happened with me.

That is something completely different, my step son is on his Father's coverage as a dependent as well.

I am pretty certain that you could not add a daughter in law or son in law as a dependent.

...which was the point I was trying to make. I was responding to what you said

Sorry for not making that clearer.
