2 months....it is a risk?¿?¿?

Hi everyone,

I have to go back my home country for 2 months. I am going to use my Advance Parole to enter the USA.

Do you think that 2 months abroad is too much time and the office at the port of entry can deny me coming back?

You shouldn't have any problems re-entering the U.S. after a two-month visit abroad, because you have your AP document.

But they will most likely ask about it at the AOS interview, if your going with your honey, not as odd, but they asked my hubby why he was gone for a whole month back home. He does have a terminally ill father, and that satisfied the AOS officer, as well as it being a bit dangerous for me to go, so I didnt go with. Would have liked to tho.

I already had my interview. I wasn´t approved due the Name Check is pending.

Anyway............ I do have my Advance Parole and my concern is if 2 months abroad is not a lot of time outside the USA and someone at the port of entry can deny re enter the USA.

I am not sure however there is a permission that is called a Re-entry Permit maybe you have to request one.

No, the OP would not need that, since she has AP. The re-entry permit is for LPRs as I understand.

A Re-entry Permit is for LPR who are going to be out of the country for more than 12 months.....

All you need for your 2 month trip is your AP....

i have just entered on the AP document.

They took me to the separate room.

The whole thing took 3 seconds, they didn't check anything.

As long as you have been legal all this time, you're fine, that's all what they care about.

Don't worry about the 2 months.

Only if you get an A#shole immigration officer at the POE and be ready with a good answer at the AOS interview

My husband was gone for almost one month on his AP. When he returned, he had no trouble whatsoever. You should be fine.

If you already had your interview, can you wait until you are approved and have your GC?
