Hello All

Just wondering how you guys report your tax while your spouse has not received GC yet (in the process of AOS)? Any software you recommend?

1/11/2008: Sent out AOS package and I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

1/13/2008: Package Received

1/17/2008: Checks Cashed

1/23/2008: Receive NOAs (I-130,I-485, AP and EAD) dated 1/16/2008

2/11/2008: Receive ASC Appointment Notice (I-485 and I-765) dated 2/1/2008

2/29/2008: Biometric Appointment

3/4/2008: AP touched - request for additional info

3/7/2008: EAD touched - Approved

3/12/2008: Receive EAD

3/15/2008: Receive I-512L x 2 - dated 3/4/2008

7/10/2008: Interview Letter Received

8/20/2008: AOS Interview and GC is approved!

8/27/2008: Receive welcome letter dated 8/21

8/30/2008: Receive my GC!

If your spouse has an SSN, thats all you will need to file taxes. If you dont have an SSN or can't get one. You can try to get an ITIN for now.

I am USC and my wife is currently working with an SSN.

1/11/2008: Sent out AOS package and I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

We did it with H&R blocks. Easier for us.

I have a SSN.

There was a section where you had to write the status. I can't exactly remember mine now, but it was something like approved alien. I'm not yet a resident, but since I've been more than X days in the country I fell under that status.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

11.08.08: Big family wedding

09.18.09-10.03.09: First trip to France with Hubby

04.19.10: Package sent to Vermont

04.21.10: Delivered in Vermont

04.22.10: NOA date

04.23.10: Check cashed

05.17.10: Received biometrics appointment letter

06.07.10: Biometrics Appointment

06.26.10: Touched

07.07.10: Card Production Ordered!

07.17.10: Card in the mail :) Done until citizenship
